So, if any one individual was to get an injury (hopefully will not happen) who would we miss the most, this isn't necessarily the best, most skill full or talented player, just the one that would have the most impact on the team. The three I would name would be Macca, Hess and Hansen, with in my opinion Hansen the one. How do others feel?

Hanson.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

Not a player but if MJ was to go then it would probably put us back 2 seasons

I don't think MJ will leave before gaining one promotion at least.

He is destined for higher things but he would want to prove himself here first before moving on.

He will not move to a club like Shrewsbury ( no disrespect meant ) only a championship club imo.  maybe a prem club if he can get us to the championship.

Those mentioned above plus...

The arrival of waterfall and development of Pollock means CB is better covered than we feared.

Green has been impressive but we do have a zillion attacking players

So I will say hendrie - already our best rb, becoming our best lb too

Hessenthaler.

Hanson is absolutely key when we adopt a central directness to our attack.  However we've started to show that we've more than one string to our bow.  Against Doncaster in the cup Ogbu played central and whilst didn't win the headers that Hanson did, he was very good at making it stick and either laying it off or turning and running at defenders.  I reckon Green could play down the middle, again different to Hanson but effective in his own way.

Hessenthaler, on the other hand, makes us play.  He's the one who a) wins the ball back but b) starts things off.  You take him out the equation and we would be a completely different animal altogether.    In my opinion, we need to be getting him on a contract beyond this season.  Whatever league we're in next season, he'll be an asset.

Hanson.

DHM is right about Hess but Hanson is also brilliant when we defend corners and free kicks.

Hanson. Not just his goals but he is the focal point of our attacks. We don't have a similar style replacement if he is injured. I think Matt Green could do a job centrally, Ogbu left, Vernam right but it wouldn't be as effective. To be fair, Hanson is a beast.

That's the thing isn't it?

Very few teams are good enough to have a second XI as strong as their first.  The positive is that we're listing more than one player as 'key'.  Shows how far we've come.

That's a very good point.
