This could be interesting! Mrs Hameln Mariner is a Hereford supporter and I've taken my father in law (an Edgar St season ticket holder) to a few GTFC games over the last few years. To say that this news has gone down badly is an understatement....

How the fook does he keep getting jobs in football????

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

He's got no roots. Completely bald.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,

Yeah but it was Bignot who left him out for the majority of the season/made him train with the youth team.

The reaction to Slade's appointment on the Hereford forum :

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Why should Gowling have any beef with Slade? Bignot made Gowling train with the Youths but when Slade came in he allowed Gowling to train with the first team again, Gowling even said upon his departure that Slade made him feel part of the squad again After Bignot basically banished him from the squad

Wife’s away on a hen do, I’ve put a few drinks away, feeling relaxed, skimmed through some football news, bit of Facebook, Grimsby Telegraph etcetera, etcetera and then thought “Oh, let’s see what’s going on on the Fishy” and the top post is about Russel ‘flipping’ Slade.

Move on for the love of God.

I have, you all should too.

You fill up my senses,
Like a barrel of Tetley's,
Like a packet of Woodbine,
Like a good pinch of snuff,
Like a night out in Cleethorpes,
Like a greasy chip butty,
O, Super Black and Whites,
Come fill me again
Na na naa naa naa naaaa TOWN!!
Na na naa naa na na naaaa
Na na naa naa na naaa naaa
