Interesting to see how many of you codheads come crawling out the woodwork. Have to say, that cold December afternoon  when KVV smashed in the winner past your lot feels like a lifetime ago. What a day that was though, the look on some of your faces was a picture. The tables have certainly turned and it looks like you're on the climb under a new manager and we are sinking like a stone.  Football works in cycles, we have had our 15 years in the sun above you, maybe it is time for you to have your day again.

See you lot in March where hopefully we can actually turn up and do a league double over you.

I would hardly call it crawling out of the woodwork seeing as it is a GTFC message board! More like you crawling out from under that slag heap that Stevie Cammack is still hiding under.

I see Swann has appointed Wilcox until the end of the season.

Good to tell there is only one relegation spot, he would never have risked it otherwise.

Yes. Otherwise it would be a risky career move for Wilcox 😄

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Wonder if he still uses the phrase 'go again' 27 times in every interview.

Do they have the internet in Scunthorpe, just asking as there seems to be hardly anyone posting on the Bru.

Welcome to the busiest Football forum in Lincolnshire and the only ones crawling has been done by the Scunts, never heard a pip from you lot up the road since you were formed until we went through our worst period in our history and rusty ironing club some how won the lottery and climbed out of the bottom of the pond you occupied for most of your clubs history.

Our day will certainly come again, and here's why, you can't keep a club like ours down. We get knocked down but we get up again, because we are Grimsby Town. The only double likely to happen at Glumford park is if you give us more tickets we'll double your normal gate.

Supporting the Mighty Mariners for over 30 years, home town club is were the heart and soul is and it's great to be a part of it.

The classic, bitter codhead response. Oh did you get knocked down as well, right in the doldrums of non league and I enjoyed every second of it.  Regarding attendances, we sold out our away end at your crumbling ground  and could have taken more to boost your gate too.  Regardless what happens for the rest of the season, at least we beat you in your own backyard for the first time since 1969. Bitter?  Not sure about that.

Scunny fans towards GTFC - bitter.
Town fans towards Scunny - dislike, yes, but bitter, no.

Lincoln fans towards GTFC - extremely bitter.
Town fans towards Lincoln - always been totally indifferent.

What WE want is a derby with Hull, because that's the one we used to really enjoy.  Alas, we're probably stuck with you and Lincoln for eternity, which is a depressing thought.

Myself personally, not bitter  but certainly seems to be a genuine mutual  hatred of each other, but it is what local rivalries are all about.  Agree with you regarding Lincoln, absolutely irrelevant with until they went on that FA Cup run and had the Cowleys. Thousands of 'fans' seemed to come out the woodwork then. Interesting to hear your thoughts on Hull, especially considering we have finished above you in the league since 2005 so that must be an even more depressing thought for you. Loved playing the mud rats, especially at Boothferry Park. Proper old school ground and a rivalry i rank alongside playing Grimsby. Lincoln and Donny don't come close.
