Scunny might not be one of the favourites for the FA Trophy over the next 2 seasons.  One of the earlier fallen “big teams” Chesterfield are currently bottom of the league.

That’s very uncharitable.

True though 😄

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Wow, no wins in their first ten games. They were in League One the year we got back in the league, what the hell has gone wrong there?

Swann has a lot to answer for here I think, I recall that they where in a good place in terms of league position and stability when he sacked Alexander who is a relatively competent and possibly the best they’d had since Adkins. In addition to having an itchy trigger finger he’s a complete self publicist.

I take no pleasure in seeing clubs relegated to non league as I know what it feels like for the supporters, this season I might make an exception.

I don’t agree with the FA reinstating Bury next season but if it means an extra relegation place to make sure Scunny go down then I’m all for it

I see one of the most popular threads on the Scunny fans forum today is "Sack the manager"

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

I think we should all join the scunny thread and insist that Hurst keeps his job for as long as possible, "agent Hurst" is working just fine.

Things clearly not all happy families at Scunny. Hurst has tried to move the likes of Kevin Van Veen and Adam Hammill on to no avail - both remain at the club with Hammill completely excluded from the squad.

Now it appears their centre half and recent Hurst signing Kgosi Ntlhe was involved in an assault which left Danny Drinkwater badly injured last weekend:

They probably have a better squad in general, but already there appear to be signs reminiscent of our disastrous 2009-10 campaign. I can see some seriously dark times ahead for Scunny, and that’s before we even touch on their precarious financial position.
