Also like to say well done Town for winning away and also for playing in our famous black and white stripes instead of playing in the blue away kit that seems to be the fashion these days.

When was the last time we won away on the opening day?

Welcome to the club mate.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Great to get off to a winning start especially away from home. A clean sheet and also scoring more than one goal too..

Confidence boosting goals for Whitehouse and  Wright..

Couldn't have wished for a much better opener to the season..

What a great result! Not the best performance and we struggled to string more than 2 passes together but we ground out the win and took our chances.

I really like the look of our front 3, Hanson wins everything in the air and Rose has pace and a bit of trickery whilst Green seems to have a mixture of pace and power. All three were unlucky not to score.

Our midfield struggled to get into the game as they were bypassed by the long ball a lot and it was a rare off day for Clifton. some of our best chances came when we actually got the ball on the floor in midfield though.

Morecambe looked like a team of unfit old guys, I think they will struggle this year on that showing. Their number 2 was way overweight for a professional footballer, Roche isn’t getting any younger and was a liability for the second goal whilst old man Ellison is a nasty piece of work, he came on and just wanted a fight, he elbowed Öhman in the face whilst he was laid on the floor in the goalmouth and squared up to a 17 year old Pollock for no real reason

A great showing from our fans and it was great to see all those behind the goal celebrating wildly after each goal, it really shows how much football means to our town!
