I think us saying we where interested in Cook was probably just a ploy to get Hanson with both of them similar players and Hanson eagerness to get back up North.

I think so too, but I think Hanson may have been the number 2 target.

At the end of the day i would imagine Mansfield can outgun us on wages and they have been closer to the top end of the League than we have in recent times so all round a more attractive proposition I would think.
