I’ve got a sneaky feeling that we might just tip 4000 STs!!
Tomorrow would be a great day to purchase one!!!
Us Mariners have waited many many years for something positive to happen and it looks like it’s someone with our community at heart!!!

Is that what your parents told you had happened to your presents that Christmas?

Probably not but the club should aim high. I reckon if they’d made a proper go of it in 2016 we’d have got a lot more than the 3000 we ended up with.

Sounds like a Brexit metaphor to me but that’s for another thread.

Don't know what will happen yet, could still fall through and it's happened over the years with football club takeovers falling at the last hurdle. If Fenty and his comrades leave and have no more power and say on the club direction then I'll buy a season ticket even if financially it doesn't make sense for me because of work commitments.
I just want to see a non Fenty run club again but everything I've heard sounded like he'd only allow a takeover where he remains on the board and probably continues as the shadow chairman.

I'd hold out a bit and then once things come out then everyone pile down and purchase. It'll show more intent that we're in support of the new regime.

Nothing is agreed until everything is agreed,
Now where have I heard that ?
Wait until contracts have been signed and then get ST,
It will show we all are behind Mr Shutes ( Tom )

If the concern in not buying a ST before now is you want to see the back of Fenty, then wait a few days for confirmation of the takeover and see what's actually involved.

Well, I've read all the releases and nothing I've seen suggests he wants any involvement in running the club. It has been intimated that he could retain some shares as a minority shareholder but that is a different matter. He has said repeatedly that he wants out of running the club so why would you think he wants to continue as a " shadow chairman " whatever that is? I'm confident that if somebody, ie Tom Shute, buys out the club then he will want his own Board and in fact it does say in the Telegraph that there are " strong suggestions that a general restructure of the club has already , provisionally, been put in place ". As for the theme of the thread then I had already bought my ST before all this became common knowledge but then again I'm first and foremost a GTFC fan and the politics of the club does not affect my desire to watch them , regardless.
