Oh but in a lot of cases it does. It shouldn't but it definitely does. I was talking to a chap last week who was calling FK out of Jsf and he had never been to  BP in his life. A lot of people are like sheep but others are like wolves. Instead of people listing all the things that they consider he has done wrong why not list the things that they would have done.

Ok kept my mouth shut instead of putting my foot innit. Well you asked

I agree. And it’s little things like the comments made about Macca in Saturday’s interview that exemplify his lack of understanding. Macca, club hero, ‘hauled us over the coals’ while Nick Dale, who dropped the club in the shite, keeps his job. Unbelievable.

You do like to embellish your posts don't you?

Fair enough, Nick Dale messed up and whether or not he should lose his job is another debate but Macca a "club hero". He is a great servant to the club but it's his job and he has been paid to do it. I doubt that if you asked Macca he would describe himself as a club hero.

I like him because he is a good League 2 level goalkeeper and he has shown commitment to the club by staying as long as he has but there was one occasion I can remember when he seemed set on leaving, "played his last game for the club" was a quote I seem to recall, not necessarily from him though. Admittedly that was in the Bignot era (I think) and we may not have got the full details but what qualities make him a club hero?

I also agree with you that JF's ‘hauled us over the coals’ comments were unnecessary and will only serve to antagonise those that are anti JF. He does have a habit on saying the wrong things at the wrong time.

That said, I agree with the comments of Golfer and a few others. JF is a fan at heart, yes he has made wrong decisions and yes I want to see a change but I don't like to think where we would be without his money. I don't hate him, he has tried with the best of intentions and it's a thankless task.

We cannot change what has happened, so let's hope that the takeover goes through and we have a brighter future.

I wonder if the telegraph are going to get an interview with Tom Shutes? Get his side of the story.

I don't have a problem with Fenty, he's made some bad calls and he might not be the best in public but he genuinely has the clubs interests at heart. I didn't really like the comments about Macca though, didn't think that was really necessary.

I had the radio on day of the interview you describe and it was a strange old day with Macca basically saying he had been told he was free to go and wouldnt be getting picked so he was off . Then Bignot came on and said the exact opposite and denied all knowledge of the matter ? Now with hindsight I would suspect most would believe Macca`s version of events?

Macca was ousted by an England international, premiership quality goalkeeper! Probably THE best goalkeeper we've had in 15 or so years. Understand why he was pi55ed off, but, he came back , imho, a better keeper

Well one thing springs to mind, I would have sacked Neil Woods well before he reached 20 odd games without a win.

That may have saved us 6 years in Non League and at least (in JF's words) £3,000,000, easily enough to have paid him back.

I would have employed a credible Chief Executive/PR specialist who would be the go to man for the media.

Mr Fenty is the worst public speaker I have heard who has a major role in an important organisation. It beggars belief that he still thinks it is all ok; even when something positive happens he manages to turn it in to a negative, whether by accident or design.

This in itself would not be so much of a problem if he was overseeing a successful organisation which was going places, but together with all the well documented gaffes, mistakes and the falling out with all and sundry it really is a far cry from what the club deserves.

I would like to add my post was not intended to be spiteful I thought I was just stating a fact.

I do not like the bloke and he does not like me  I know this because he has told me and the world.

Having said that I wish him no ill will.

I Believe at the time a few members of the board including JF wanted to change managers but MP at the time backed Neil Woods and threatened to walk unless the board kept him.

To be fair to Woods, we should have been relegated the season before anyway. Had we stayed up we probably would have been relegated the season afterwards. We had been crap since 2006 and just got worse season on season. Pretty sure we would not suddenly have improved overnight.

As demonstrated by Linwoods interview this summer the players basically did not give a damn which did not help him.

That being said 20 games without a win and not getting sacked is pretty rare I would think at any football club!
