I used to work out of an office in Bramall Lane. They'd just leased part of it to Regus who we then let from. Nothing flash but would have been a steady income. Some bigger employers in there but a few SME's who literally had an office to work out of.

I was reading about MK Dons yesterday or Stadium MK Group which incorporates the stadium, club and Hilton adjacent to the stadium.  The main source of their £18m turnover is the hotel.

It’s clear Shutes sees the stadium as one element in the regeneration of that part of town for wider development - tying in the renewables sector, Hull & Lincoln Uni as well as the College, new housing developments along Freemo, etc. Christ knows what the stadium would cost - £15-20m based on previous estimates for the other schemes, but that’s relatively small potatoes compared to the longer term costs in the area. Could part of the funding come from planning obligations? Potentially.

I don’t think a property developer would’ve spent a year arguing the toss with Fenty trying to takeover a 4th division football club purely on the basis of wanting to do something nice for the fans.

Is Shutes more clued up than some people on here? Whisper it, but...he may just be!

Not sure they're a good example. They lost £6m last year.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

The stadium is the Hilton Hotel.

When you look around the ground what appears to be executive boxes high up is in fact the corridor with the hotel rooms off it.

Wow! what a stadium. The difference between us and them is that there are 20million people living less than 1 hour away-might make a difference.

Why would talks go on for a year if he hasn’t got the cash? More fool Fenty if that is the case. Heard another rumour that goalposts are changing and I’d be more inclined to believe that one.
