I share your reservations and even to some extent cynicism about the future. I know next to nothing about Shutes or his motivations. I can only trust in the Trust to represent our interests. I’m hopeful for the new ground but I don’t expect it to happen.

There are those who just want some rich bloke to splash the cash on GTFC, who don’t care as long as there’s success on the pitch. But there seems to be at least as many on here who want it done in a sustainable way.

Anyway I’m off to buy a dildo. 😀

That was my initial thought too.but I've now had 2 different people saying that a long lease has been negotiated and is reaching its final stages. The story is that AB P had a new leadership team that doesn't want to sit on brownfield land and by doing this they get a return on their land which has been sat there for years, doing nothing and earning nothing

If the ground is built on the docks does this mean I can still have a seat with a view over the river/estuary so I can watch the ships if the game is cr@p  😀

I heard about the docks when this all first came out from an insider source who usually bang on the money. A regenerated Dock site with stadium to boot would be a dream!

Would be the stuff of dreams.imagine the ground there with a rejuvenated Kasbah and ice factory full of bars n restaurants for pre match pisss up?

Yeah my personal dream in fact, thought it would be the stadium after the next one though (probably not in my lifetime)!

And is he actually a credible source or just somebody else clutching at straws?

I think the common theme is that WE ALL want the same thing, so if you want to bring a community together, this could well be the catalyst that is required!!
