Firstly my apologies for my reply to your earlier post but I am frankly drunk off with every post I make being either attacked or disputed.

Whether you recall them or not there have been a large number of posts complaining that Fenty (and his three stooges on the board) have made no investment in the club for years (or ever in the case of the three stooges) and I merely expressed the opinion that any potential buyer (and I am not creaming my jeans like so many on here about Shutes) needs to bring money into the club not just re-jigging the boardroom, increasing junior fans interest (whilst reducing their ST price) improving the club's image and relations with virtually everybody. Only results will bring numbers into BP. A few silly sods will return when Fenty has gone but nothing will change on the pitch unless money is invested in players. Once again I refer to the many moans and groans about what budget Jolley will be getting.

This is just one example, (the one involving us two) but every one of my posts is attacked in some way, not just the ones where I express an opinion, (everyone is entitled to an opinion surely, even on the Fishy) but the factual ones too.

Not getting all excited about the takeover, not posting outrageous ideas about Dock Station, not enthusing because we put 8 past Cleethorpes Town, pointing out that the beautiful tree lined approaches to the new ground with families happily enjoying picnics before the game, as depicted in the artists impression will not happen,( knocking down a few office blocks and 1960s buildings will not turn Freeman Street into a pleasant haven)  etc etc appears to be a criminal offence on here.

I would ask Rob to ban me so I can't post but I will need to remain a member so I can participate in Les's Prediction compo, otherwise I refer the learned member to my earlier 'go intercourse yourself' statement and to whoever else it might apply.

That’s big of you to say that Swin (opening paragraph). Then you go and queer the pitch with the last one.

You will get attacked though if you appear to go out of your way to be negative. Maybe you don’t mean to but it looks like you court it.

I share your reservations and even to some extent cynicism about the future. I know next to nothing about Shutes or his motivations. I can only trust in the Trust to represent our interests. I’m hopeful for the new ground but I don’t expect it to happen.

There are those who just want some rich bloke to splash the cash on GTFC, who don’t care as long as there’s success on the pitch. But there seems to be at least as many on here who want it done in a sustainable way.

Anyway I’m off to buy a dildo. 😀

'Swin you make debates happen with the counterweight to what could be at times blind positivity, so although it aggitates people at times (myself included) please carry on. Just gotta have thick skin, don't take things personally.

I haven't been on the docks for a considerably long time but wouldn't No3Fish Dock have to be filled in first? That would involve a large amount being taken out of the budget for a stadium before even any construction has taken place.

Yes,but apparently there are outside investors willing to 'take the plunge'. If you have a look at the gtf C praise and grumble facebook page those very concerns are raised

Is this the other location that the club was reported to be looking at? Why go to the trouble and expense of filling in a dock when there is a stadium-sized brownfield site at Freeman Street? Is it because certain people don't want to park their precious cars on the East Marsh?

Don't think for a minute ABP would want to sell any land on the docks to build a stadium. For starters they would have to allow fans on the docks which would be a big headache for them. Their land on the docks is very valuable to buy as well as the cost and time it would take to fill it.

This has got to be the daftest idea to date. Totally impractable.
