I think we can gather that something is going to happen, more from what Fenty wouldn’t say rather than what he did. Seems he’s remaining tight lipped as a mutual respect to Mr. Shutes who has done the same for about a year now it would seem.

I would disagree.  I think something is going on, but to say something is actually going to happen is jumping the gun.  I fully expect this to all fall flat in the coming weeks.

A little sideswipe at Liam Wood from John there. Just listened to Liam's piece on GT website. He is clear that Shutes has passed the EFL scrutiny. John says that process can only go forward with directors involvement and so far there has not been anything concrete to start that submission to the EFL. Who to believe?

Seems to be on, been in talks 12 months but basically until deal done can't say much. Says not passed fit and proper person test as no formal offer submitted yet... but that could be a smokecreen?

Basically saying he's wanted out for years, so hopefully if it does come off there's a clean sweep of the boardroom bringing in fresh ideas and Fenty doesn't hang about.

Thanks to Mr. Fenty for supporting us through dark times, despite the f**k ups, but if it does come off I'd like to see a fresh start with a forward thinking Chief Executive after things turning a bit sour in recent times.

Just checked the rules re: fit and proper persons test and...

Because the club can only submit the director's test upon a new owner buying a club the general practice now in place is for contracts to be exchanged with the proviso that the deal is null and void if the new owner(s) doesn't/don't pass the EFL directors test.

i.e. A deal could be completed and contracts signed off, but it would be totally honest for a club to deny the deal is agreed because it would only be formally completed and finalised upon the directors test being passed.

Also, each club has to resubmit each of their owners/directors/shadow directors for the test 14 days before the start of a new EFL season.
