Just like to say thank you and well done to the club shop/ticket office staff today. Went in to buy season ticket and organisation with new shirt sales was superb!

Good on them, makes a change from the usual stick they get on here.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Too right. Often don’t get enough recognition imo.

Always great with me. Held back a bit by the IT systems in place but make do.

I think the staff who work the ticket office / club shop love the club like we all do , I think it’s more than a job for most of them

I've kept quiet and logged off lately with the lack of activity but this thread has made me log in to just add to the above comments. I get up to grimsby twice every year and always pop in and whoever is in the club shop is always great. My Mrs is a pain In the bottom and hates football but she always walks away pleased and £40+ down from buying her lad (no connection to Grimsby apart from me) the top(s) and other stuff.

They were great today. My lad was intrigued by a framed shirt he could see on the wall through a door (it was Norwich City) so the lady there took us both on a tour of all the shirts from our opponents in the millennium season, including a whole array of town shirts from the last 25 years too hung on the wall of the findus stand. She was awesome and it went above and beyond, I loved it. Quality.

That's great to hear. Not totally surprised either. Always found the service good in there/over the phone.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

I’ve moaned about them in the past (mainly out of frustration at some of the daft rules the club have - I accept the shopfloor don’t make these decisions) but they have definitely improved a lot over the last few seasons. That shirt has caught my attention a few times too. Pleased that there’s more than one cause it’d be odd to just have the one.

It was quite surprising to see which shirts were in our division that year. As well as Man City and Wolves, there was Leyton Orient, Tranmere, Crewe and Stockport!

Think Orient was a League Cup game, back in the glory days of the 2 legged tie!
