I hate how some traits of football fans in general sometimes get attributed to just ‘town’ fans !!

However your point is valid as such. Some folk need to give players a chance. We expect a manager to have a full season, including pre-season before being judged. Let’s afford players the same chance.


Fair point - other clubs’ fans probably do it too but I don’t read their sites or care what they think.  I’d like to think Town fans are paragons for fair mindedness!

But back on topic. It will be interesting to see him after a full pre-season with us.  I think he will be ok.  I hope so because I doubt MJ will just be looking to have him as cover.

Got all the attributes for a modern day wingback my main concern with him he gave away a lot of needless freekicks but at the time I put that down to lack of fitness and his reading of the English game . I think he will suprise a few of his critics and Town fans though much maligned by some generally get behind anyone who gives 100% he will become a fans favourite IMO.

But isn't that the point? You hope to get as many players as possible having the same preseason together. Fitness, strength,tactics etc to gel as a unit.

A new player especially one from overseas is always bound to take some time to fit in. Our problem as fan`s we want,need and expect any newbies to hit the ground running and clearly Ring wasn`t . I think he will be a good player for us and will look far better next Season now fit.
