Following up on my initial post about the obvious problem with GTFCs playing lately, I think it is also clear that there is in fact a rather larger problem that no one seems willing to confront.
Blundell Park is constantly looking for more fan support – recently saw a post on the GT Facebook news page about this. Well clearly the issue is, people are going to the wrong stadium.
Why on earth GTFC would decide on a kit that is virtually identical to Newcastle United is beyond me. Whether this was a deliberate ploy by the Youngs people (who I have noticed don’t even sell their produce at the stadium – potential post about this later) in the hopes of getting GTFC confused with the much larger (but even harder to understand) team of NU, or if it was an oversight on their part I’m not sure.
Regardless the error has occurred now, and I think the obvious thing to do would be to change the uniforms (or ‘kit’ as some like to call it) to horizontal stripes. Now before everyone starts bashing me ‘horizontal stripes are you mad they are so hard to pull off!’ remember that players really ought to be at peak physically fitness so regarding any self-conscious players, size really shouldn’t be an issue.
Another uniform suggestion would be to remove that ugly ‘Youngs’ logo on the front, I appreciate they are sponsoring players, but can’t they ask them to appear in some adverts instead of ruining the beautiful black and white majestic stripe?
I’d also add that Newcastle is only two hours away so for out of town fans it really is a bit confusing. I do like the away uniforms though, although maybe the goalie shirt should be red and the away one grey, perhaps a swap? Willing to negotiate on that as it might cause some confusion.

To be fair, the man isn’t completely trolling; he makes a valid point. Rumour is Juventus only changed their shirts to half and half’s because they watched our performance against Crystal Palace and couldn’t tell the difference between our performance and the 1985-86 Serie A winning Juventus side. Worried that they’ll only ever be in the shadow of the likes of Reece Hall-Johnson they demanded a rebrand.

It must be what passes for humour after their exams are finished.

I take it you are referring to the 11+ 😉

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'
