How does anyone know we haven't tried to sign players already? Problem is that if we contact a player, he wouldn't jump at the chance to sign for us, but would wait to see if there are better offers before committing. We are at the bottom of the food chain so any player worth his salt would be thinking "I can do better than Grimsby.. I'll wait for a better offer". That's where we're at.

Teenage boys may get, cough, 'excited' at almost anything, but making up rumours about footballers is probably stretching the point. WAGs maybe.
