We do not want to keep players on the books who are not committed to the team.

Quoted from Tommy
He didn't seem a bad player, but are we really that bothered?

He was part of a side that finished 17th in Division 4.

I'd have probably kept him as part of a pool of centre-backs in the new squad but I'm not going to cry about losing him and we can certainly do better if we want to progress.

Nailed on.

We need to improve if we want a better season, end of.  Davis was ok, nothing more.

think we need to put it into context as we still have much of  starting XI under contract and secured
                                                                           McKeown
                             Hendrie           Ohman               //////////                       Ring
                             Hess                 Whitehouse           Clifton              //////////(Wright/Cook)
                                                         Cook  (Cardwell)           Vernham

plus youngsters Burrell, Rose and Pollock bolstering the numbers

That's not a very strong squad though is it? I mean decent players but thin on numbers and no one outstanding in their position.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Luke O’Neill (27 yo defender) is free after leaving Gillingham, he was under 23s at Burnley with MJ.

Good shout but I think he will stay down south I think he's from the London area and the last few clubs he's had been down south.

He's had a few loans aswell.

Maybe Hess will be able to convince a few southerners that Lincolnshire isn’t so bad ....  .

We should also hope that Hess hasn't attracted too much attention after his fine season. His consistency, touch and fitness will have made him a target for L1?

Hendrie has lost Davis , his 'carshare'. We know the problems that can cause!

4 weeks before the end of the season he was happy to stay so he said on RH.

Maybe 4 weeks ago he hadn't been approached by an EFL club in the Manchester area?
