Sad news tonight that the iconic Notre Dame cathedral in Paris is devastated by fire.

To keep it football related here's what they have to say about it on the Lincoln football forum.....

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Is he a member of the lincoln forum?

He's one of their own, he's one of their own, Quasimodo, he's one of their own

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

What a sad sight but not surprising the NotreDame fire follows months of arson, vandalism and desecration of French Catholic churches 🤔

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. Promise a man someone else's fish and he votes Labour.

I was expecting a few flippant comments on there to be honest but they all seem quite contrite, especially the one who says it brought back bad memories of the Bradford fire

You forget that Lincoln were involved in that game and the disaster that ensued.... if you'd witnessed it first hand, any trigger such as this Notre Dame fire must give some kind of PTSD issues

Heritage destroyed but equally shocking is the amount of money pouring in from the mega rich, several chuck in 200 million, and it's eye watering the amount of money they are sat on and as sad as it is at the end of the day it is a building, the sort of money being thrown around if directed to those who need it could change people's lives dramatically, shape the social and economic landscape of whole towns and cities. although this tragedy has happened it has also exposed the gulf in those that have and those who don't.

Jesus’ disciple Peter, picked up a fish to get the tribute money from it, Jesus left his thumb print on the fish, bless'ed is the Haddock.

They can't have read Matthew 19:24; Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

I saw some grainy footage of somebody on the top of the cathedral yesterday Pete, looking as if they were sparking something up and allegedly taken just before it shut its doors last week, so maybe it wasn't that accidental or an " Act of God "
