Jumble Jolley.

Is Vernam playing the Embleton role or have we abandoned 3-5-2 and gone for a defender in the Gav Gunning role? With MJ saying he is open-minded on 1 or 2 players I would suspect those 2 players are Davis and Woolford with Collins inevitably going in May. Would have liked to see Pollock at the very least.

If that's a back 4 (as it was last week I think) I'm interested to see how Ring does.

The Morecambe manager sounds a bit loud on the commentary

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Is it me or is it 442. With Greyson on the left wing, Vernam on the right with Cardwell and Dennis up top.

Greyson just had a lovely effort, nearly caught keeper out.

Last 10 minutes or so sound encouraging.

Fully expect us to concede a minute before half time!

Playing well without reward (sounds familier), like others just waiting for us to concede as Morecombe break on us against the run of play.

Usual first half, dominated play but with no end result. Usual no clear goal scoring opportunity because of either slow play or lack of players in the box and have been limited to mostly long range efforts.

I think their Keeper looks a bit dodgy, he's spilled most of the shots at him so far and hasn't looked too compossed. If we keep pelting his goal we might score today.

The BBC have them with 70% of the ball ????????????

BUT

We have had 7 shots with 5 on target to their 4 with none on target.

Can't see that being case we pinned them back in their half for most of the game. Especially after the opening 15 minutes

Cardwell is proper dog 💩

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

We certs for the drop next season if things don’t improve.
Salford coming up they spend big.
And probably Leyton Orient who also have a good fan base.

We could struggle.

FFS the transfer window hasn't opened yet yet alone the next season kicking off.

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

Cardwell needs to go - not good enough.
Dennis - the jury is still out.
Charles Vernam - the potential's there but is still learning.

Jolley needs to act early getting new strikers in that can move us forward and can score on a regular basis. Easier said than done with the budget Fenty provides.

Some of these refs want sacking, do they not know the laws of the game Macca clearly played the ball and their player fell over his outstretched arm AFTER the ball had gone.

So exactly how much is the playing budget that JF provides and how much do you think we should have ? I would imagine Notts County have a bigger budget than us and they are really tearing trees up in the race for promotion!

If it was a penalty [which it wasn't] why wasn't Macca red carded as he was the last player. I think after the ref made the decision he wasn't 100% sure so bottled out of changing it.

Double jeopardy rule. If he's deemed to be making a genuine attempt to play the ball and not the man, then it's just a penalty with no red card.

Ref got it completely wrong, as it wasn't a penalty because he clearly got the ball first, but he got the double jeopardy aspect correct at least.

The penalty is seen as the punishment. Ridiculous rule because if he mistimes a tackle outside the box it is a red!
