On the subject of contracts, does Fenty’s favoured 6-month rolling contract really work at this level? If my boss told me I’d get a 6-month payout for getting sacked it wouldn’t really light a fire under my bottom.

It’s supposedly an insurance clause for the club, but how often do managers get poached at this level? Almost never and on the balance of managers getting binned to those going on up the ladder, I think we’re getting poor value from it.

swings and roundabouts for me........some wanted him to be given a 3 year contract not long ago
