An early statement from the board saying Jolley's budget will be increased to enable us to compete for a play off place would work,

John did say at the Q + A  that the budget will be increase by a small amount,

Just make that a little more than that John and we will have a chance.

Not sure I'm in favour of setting a target like that publicly.

Can you imagine what it'd be like on here and social media if we're not on course to achieve whatever target that is?

By all means have objectives, and i'm sure they will, in-house. I understand the argument but I don't think it'd be worth it. As a lot of people would retrospectively moan about - should just do the talking on the pitch.

Think it would be detrimental to publicly set targets. The board and the manager will need to assess what we can afford and that, to some extent, will determine what we can achieve. It remains a fact that getting players to live in the area is difficult and they will continue to factor travel time into where they play.

It would be great to see an initiative to generate more ticket revenue but it's all a bit 'chicken & egg' - do we spend more first or do we earn more first?
