Embleton doesn't seem himself today very off the boil. We need to be making more diagonal balls and direct balls we're too flat just passing it 5 yards from side to side.

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

Bright first 10 minutes when we passed it around nicely without creating much (and they kicked it to us pretty much every time they got the ball). Worse and worse after that. Passing is slow and inaccurate, all the midfielders are having games to forget and the forwards are isolated. Cambridge have become more of a threat as the half has progressed as we've given them the confidence to pass it around quite decently at times.

This is a game where the wing-backs aren't getting involved enough, either in defence or attack.

Half-time rollicking required!

Well that was a half of 2 halves!

First 15 or so zippy passing & pressing then over complicated it and regressed.

Embleton far too deep and Hendrie has loads of space but no possession.

Why is embo playing so deep? His basically sitting in front of the defenders half the game, need him behind the striker making things happen, very poor first half from town.

Been saying this the last few games.
He looks tired 😞

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Quoted from Hagrid
Been a woeful first half from town

Wasn't someone on here going to win enough to pay for his holidays? (better make it Meggies the way it looks at the moment)

Lethargic....
Zero movement
Zero pace
Zero efforts on goal

Massive hole in the middle when we get the ball...Clifton joins the front line Hess drops in at right centre and Embleton too deep.

Massive half time this for Jolley ....needs shaking up or we are sleepwalking to a loss

Macclesfield MkII so far. Cambridge have little quality but we've made them look decent by being so slow in deed and in thought  Embleton has wanted too much time on the ball and so many moves have broken down for this reason. Crosses in to the box have been poor at best and the ball just hasn't stuck to Thomas. The lack of urgency for a side supposedly chasing the play offs has been very surprising. Mentality just seems off.
