Not so good.
They are a well drilled side. Every time we attack they get 6 center backs in there.
I know I will get pelters on here but I think Embeleton needs a rest. Been slow and lacklustre the last couple of games.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Well that was boring but 1-0 so that'll do for now. Looking forward to second half but needs changes. Both sides basically just cancelling each other out.

Not the best performance so far. Very sluggish in midfield (Woolford and Embleton well off the pace) and they've had way too much space to play the ball. Luckily, they missed a free header from a set piece and we've defended well enough that McKeown hasn't needed to do anything. The stupid foul on Thomas was a real boost but he was a little lucky to score with another lacklustre penalty.

Referee pretty useless but he awarded the penalty so can't complain too much I suppose.

We need to be a bit more positive in the second half. Not necessarily going hell for leather at goal but just push up a bit to put some pressure on the ball and try to pick them off on the break.

We have a pretty strong bench, so let's hope we can make a couple of positive changes. Maybe bring Dennis and Clifton on?

.

But we always complain about the referee. If we win 6-0 we still moan about the referee

I really don't think Thomas is a penalty taker, (missing Rose)

The Town Twitter ace has mentioned one bit of action in second half so far. I’m actually more interested in how the wind turbines are moving glacially slow in the Humber #windturbineupdatesplease

We were poor, Cookie not in the game, Wooly not in the game. Cheltenham were poor but never threatened. The Ref had a completely different rule book to everyone else there today and only blew his whistle if you did a Neymar style roll and jazz hands in middair.

None of that matters though, as we won which is what is important.

Ludvigs nose gets man of the match for me today, he juat ran the show at the back.

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

It was much busier today. Almost 5000, with only 82 from Cheltenham. Actually had to queue up for my ticket and that hasn't been the case in recent home games. Be good to get more through the gate and give us more cash for the close season.

Watch out for Town.

No team in this division that can not be beaten - Mk Dons is the benchmark this season. Good squad of players - improved recently i.m.o. Manager team can get us in to these playoffs - i.m.o.

Good luck and keep working hard Town players.

It's strange how people see a players performance differently, I thought Cookie played well today but do agree Woolford was off his game. Ludvig my MOM,won everything, hell of a player at this level.

After a few games of playing good football, teams will be taking note and setting up to disrupt us so we will have to work even harder for the right to play football.

Öhman is looking like one hell of a signing, absolutely dominant in the air again.
