Morning all, how's the weather back in the mother land??..thick snow in 'ull and wondering if it's bad enough over there to put the game in danger of being called off...really hoping not because I am really looking forward to coming home and watching the boys...

We’ve got a dusting over here. They had the covers on this week so if they stayed on last night we should be ok as the temperature hasn’t dropped low enough for it to be a frozen pitch abandonment (i think it is it -3 that they protect to?).

I think the only danger of it being called off is if Newport can’t get here

It wasn't really freezing temperature overnight as my car didn't need de-icing this morning. It just has a light covering on snow, but beneath that it was fine, so hopefully the game should be fine.

Currently sleeting in Old Clee, but garden is quite soft, the temperature is above freezing, and not forecast to drop lower today. Can't see why it would be off.

It's not just the pitch that is taken in to account . Spectator areas and also surrounding just outside the ground   . Fingers crossed cos the pitch should be ok .

Does that mean we get the 3pts 😂.

I remember a Sunday league game the away team in the county Cup couldn't make it due to weather and we got the win 😂😂

I remember a couple of games that we played with snow and ice on the pitch, I think it was 77-78 season.
We had gone 20 odd games at home without defeat and we played Gateshead in the 3rd round of the FA Cup, we lost 3-1.
And then on the following Tuesday we played Walsall in the league, again with snow and ice on the pitch and we lost that game as well 2-1.
And guess who scored for Walsall that night ?
None other than Alan Buckley

I remember us playing Gateshead and losing 3-1 in the Cup Tommy

It was the 1st round in the 75-76 season ( so November time )

It sticks out in my mind because I was at Newcastle Poly at the time... got some stick from some of the locals when we lost
