I don't see Livvo as a legend but I also couldn't remember him being with us 10 years. When you think that Dis got a testimonial, it's pretty unfair that Livvo didn't, especially as he effectively suffered a career-ending injury in the Black & White.

Perhaps not the greatest Striker I have ever seen here but definitely, the bravest that sickening injury by Higgingbottom was one of the worst I have seen here.

The crowd was silent as the medics were desperately trying to bring him around I really feared for his life it was one of those you do not want to see happen to anyone.

It looked deliberate on Higginbottom's part as Livvo was causing him problems.

Livo was a no-nonsense centre forward target man that would put himself about and bring in others with his hold up play part of A.B's great team of the late 90's and the auto glass trophy side.

Thing I remember about the Livvo injury is that they had to bring a bucket of sand onto the pitch after he'd been stretchered off to soak up some of the blood.  

My view is that Higginbotham decided to clatter him but obviously didn't expect to inflict such a bad injury. He claims complete innocence in his autobiography, of course, but it looked too late to be an accident to me.

Exactly Pete. When Diz went I said something similar on here. Iit’s not always about ability - personal traits play a huge part in fan’s favourites making the step up to legend status.

Can't beliecve nobody has mentioned the FA Cup 3rd round tie v Stockport that her turned around with two goals in stoppage time! We were losing 2-1, Livvo equalised and then popped up with the winner, having come on as a sub. It was one of the best games I've been to at BP purely for the pandemonium when the turnaround was complete.

Yeah I remember that, wasn't that the year when the 3rd round was oddly played in December too?  Can't quite remember what the justification for bringing it all forward a month was.
