Livvo was loved by the town fans he gave his all every time he pulled on a town shirt a real powerhouse striker and this was in the championship !!! One of his best goals for me was a diving header away at Notts county that’s the one that sticks in my mind, not heard much of what he’s doing of late or whether he’s still involved in football or not.

18 months ago Livo was groundstaff for DB Cargo in Tyne Yard....not sure if still there as we have had some redundancy since then but will check when next at work .......if only so the club would know how to contact him if they wanted to invite him to a game

<*(((><

Town have given me some of my highest highs and my lowest lows ........ God it is like a marriage

i seem to remember him scoring a smash n grab winner at Fulham one year when it went in off his backside

Was that in Sept 97 when we hadn't won at all until that day?

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.

Interesting interview here with Livvo about his career. Notable for the way the club treat him when he had to leave -

“The way it ended for me at Grimsby left a sour taste in the mouth”, he said. “I was due a testimonial but, after 10 years at the club, they just never phoned me and ignored me completely.”

Wonder who might’ve been behind that decision.

If that's true it's a wrong that needs righting.

Conlon was not fit to lace Livvo's drinks, let alone his boots!

Livvo is still working up north on the railway for DB and I had the pleasure of chatting to him recently and telling him how much of a legend he is. I asked him if he ever fancied popping down for a game and he politely batted the question away and said he wouldn’t set foot in the ground anytime soon, I didn’t know about the testimonial thing at the time though.

Livvo would run through a brick wall for the team and frequently did. Remember him getting knocked out against Ipswich? when he put his head where others would have pulled out.

I’d have him in our team now. According to an ex town player I spoke to he’s not the same person since the fractured skull.  He didn’t go to a reunion they had.

I seem to remember his son had a trial with the youth team and he was interviewed by Mariners World about it a few years back?
