I think we once played QPR and he had to play CB and was up against a guy called Dicchio (not sure of spelling) who was about 6ft 8inches tall and I believe played in Serie A for a top club too. Livvo was brilliant that day, just used his strength and experience to snuff out any threat.

Think I'm right in saying he doesn't remember a great deal about his time with time because of that horrendous head injury. In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions. Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them. GOD

Guest User	Nearly 300 games for Town, 40 odd goals, numerous assists all but one season in what is the Championship and that one season promoted from the now 1st Division. Hit the post many times. Played center  back as well. I didn't think he was the same after the assault by Higginbotham. Blackburn paid 450000 and Chelsea 350000 in the early 90's. A true UTM legend.
