Probably been covered in previous posts but considering our average home attendances our away crowds have been magnificent all season. Obviously over 5,500 at Crystal Palace, sell out at Lincoln and decent turnouts at all our away games over the country.
Just to put things into perspective watching Southampton vs Derby in the big 3rd Round replay and yet Derby have taken a grand total of 800 fans to the game.
Keep up the good work boys and cant wait to see you all at Sincil Bank

In all fairness 800 isn't too shabby under the circumstances. Town do have cracking away support esp in relation to our league position and relative to our go home gates tho.

Echo all of the above decent turnout considering, now did I see somewhere the Scunts only took 800 to Donny? Now that’s embarrassing!

I'm not sure it is that good, Derby's Avg home is 27k so they only took about 3%.  That's equivalent to us taking 136 away. We've only dropped below that once in the last 3 seasons and that was Yeovil away on a Tue night when we took 129 which is an extra 2h drive. This was a league match not a FA Cup match to a team in a higher league.

Watched it last night and it looked like an empty stadium.  Good game though.... The use of VAR is doing people's heads in.  Now people saying VAR should only be used where there is an obvious incident.

What's the point if it's obvious? Surely VAR is for doubtful situations and those missed or incorrectly called by the referee.

If they are obvious then it should be left to the referee

Town`s support is amazing full stop. They put their hands in pockets and paid to build the Pontoon Stand, BUY Joe Waters,Ivano Bonetti and created OP to grab Bogle and regain football league status. The support and love for GTFC is steadfast it may wane from time to time but it`s there and every now and again it comes racing in like a tsunami and suprises people. Most fan`s claim to be the best but they are all playing for 2nd place GTFC NO1 and not for shifting.

Last nights game will give a taste of whats to come....even the most straightforward of goals getting replayed through the build up to see if there was a foul or any reason not to give it...backwards forwards stop start video playback....was that strikers shoulder off side...was that defenders heel just playing them onside.....the crowd singing VAR every time.
I think the biggest drawback however is that the players, we , the media , the managers dont seem to have any clear info on how, when or what it will be used for or the guidelines for its use. They need to be much clearer on that if they want us all to adapt and accept it.

Town do have amazing away support. We seem to do particularly well when we play down south and I think a lot of this is down to the exiles who have moved down there. This seemed very apparent when we were non-league and playing teams from the southern areas.
