We have a trialist playing.

GTFC XI this afternoon: Russell, Davis, Trialist, Öhman, Hall-Johnson, Woolford, Welsh (c), Cook, Ring, Burrell, A. Rose.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Good to see Davis back playing after his lay-off. Let's hope he has no further issues and is available for the weekend.

Are you sure it's a trialist? Looks a lot like Whitmore to me

Whoever he is, he's in a back five with RHJ, Ohman, Davis and Ring.

Why are going on a centre back splurge all of a sudden?

Adam Curry. He's still at Hull I think.

He's on the left of a back 3. Davis on the right, Ohman in the middle.

Welsh and Woolford in midfield with Cook slightly ahead. Ring and RHJ as wingbacks.

A.Rose and Burrell up top.

Goalless at the break. Not a great spectacle really.  Curry looks ok, very solid but not great on the ball and maybe lacking a yard of pace. Left footed so gives that balance Ohman reminds of me when Shaun Pearson first came here; wins everything but commits a lot of fouls in the process.

Midfield looks ok, lot of experience in there and Cook looks quitely effective in that role.

Ring clearly wants to get forward and I think he'll be a real asset when he's up and running.

Rose has seen his touch leave him when needed a few times and is hanging onto the ball too long. It's all a learning curve but he needs to understand he can't be selfish all the time. Burrell has impressed me with his workrate, hold up play and flick-on's.

Interesting that we're going with 3 at the back and have a centre back on trial.  Fair to presume that Jolley isn't done with this system and perhaps his January deals are geared more around switching back to that system.

Looks like Whitmore is coming on for the second half.
