Looks a strong team to me, that.

A bit more dynamic going forward with Pringle and Vernam back in. Think Woolford was brought in for the last two games for his reliability in doing the defensive side better than Pringle. Happy to see Pringle back in for a home game where we want to take the game to the opposition.

And Vernam is just a really good footballer isn't he.

I'm not there today but eager to hear how Ring gets on.

Prefer Woodford to Pringle, the Ginger one is ok going forward but doesn’t tackle.

Very disappoining by Mitch Rose it must be said he dallied on the ball got caught in possession and then made a very half-hearted attempt at chasing back.

Simple difference between the teams when our defenders have it they close us down as a team forcing us to punt long which is pointless with the wind blowing as it is, when their defence get it we have 9 players in our half of the pitch. Absolutely shocking and Macc are showing us how to do pass and move football.

We've not looked that bad for a while, difference is they press we don't our CBs can't pass the ball out and have to give it to Macca to hoof, they are getting all the time in the world to pass it around as they see fit.

Cliftons work rate is missed, a Mitch Rose moment leads to a goal. Soft ref but poor defending for their first. Like others have mentioned we've just been poor all over.

At least Ring has looked like he's shaking off the rust as the games progressing a little.

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

Bloody dreadful. Half arsed. Slow. Boring. Uncommitted.
We’re second every time. Not challenging for high balls and allowing macc to win easily.

Huge improvement needed.

Dismal showing. We can barely string two passes together and the defence is all at sea. Neither Famewo or RHJ can pass so aimless hoofs up front is all we've seen. They've got a giant bloke up front and a giant defender at the back who are winning everything in the air against our diminutive team. Rose having an absolute shocker since he came on, Embleton anonymous and the ball has barely been within 10 yards of Thomas.

Hopefully a rollicking at half-time and then being against the wind this half will change things around a bit. If not, we'll be lucky to keep it to two.

Macclesfield well-organised and hard-working with more pace and a lot more height than us, but they've not really threatened but from our own errors.

Rose showing why he doesn't start games anymore. An atrocious showing from him so far. Thomas is terribly isolated and the midfield and wingers aren't getting up anywhere near quick enough to support him (when the ball isn't launched over his head out of play anyway). Clifton a gigantic miss.

Such a disappointment that half after the last 4-5 games, today was a perfect opportunity to start looking up rather than down, I know it’s not the end of the world but that half was very disappointing.

How can we go from the past few games to that, have we even had a shot?

Can't honestly think of anything positive to say about that. Never really looked like scoring and Macc always looked like the might add to their tally. They won at a canter and looks like we've got yet more injuries to deal with. Disastrous day.

Poor and hugely disappointing, no hiding from that, and not exactly uncharacteristic when we get a good crowd in.

Felt buzzing going into today’s match, thought we would atlesst get a point and have more than 1-2 shots on goal after the past few games, now I feel dead disappointed think it’s because how passionate i feel, with 3 hard games coming up if we don’t win we could find ourself only around 6 points from safety and all that hard work seeming for nothing.

Honesty can’t believe how bad we played

Beaten by a better drilled side whose passing was far better than ours and if you were a neutral looking at the game you would have thought the league positions were the other way around.

We need more bite in midfield and Jolley and Limpbiscuit need to work on passing and moving as it hasn't been good enough for some time.

Mitch stop fcuking about on the ball. quite poor today.

First half killed our chances today, poor ball in the final third during the 2nd half was the nail in the coffin. At least öhman and Ring looked like they're going to be good signings if not a little rusty.

Macc did a great job on us, played football and forced us to puint long, 2nd half just disrupted with a niggly little foul every few minutres to break any rytham we might start to get going. Thought Embleton, Thomas, Rose M and Vernam wewre poor and you could see Famewo and Ring hadn't played for weeks. The new central defender looks like he is a decent footballer as well as good in the air,, but well done to Sol for setting up his team to do us comprehensively re tactics even if they had no real standout players.

started with the wrong team imo there centerhalf was too tall for hall johnson and famweo, should of started with ohman at the back, and with a partner with thomas.

Not great, but we're gonna have games like that with a young side - especially one that is a bit patched up and has players returning and new players coming in. It's important to keep the faith here and hope they learn from it, dust themselves off and get focused on next week. As fans we just need to write it off and not let any negativity set in. These kind of defeats are much easier to swallow when there is a bigger picture and it feels lile something is being built on the pitch. Under Slade, this would have felt like all hope was gone.

Silver lining of the day? No Andrade or Shackell next week for Lincoln.

Can’t understand why MJ didn’t leave 3 of last weeks back 4 and just add ring.

Three goals conceded in 3 games from set pieces underlines the disruption in defence.

We go again...... easy game next week.

Really poor 1st half, badly off the pace in all areas. Perhaps Jolley could have left the defence as it was but I don't think any combination would have worked today.

Definitely a game to write off and just start looking forward to Lincoln game.

Yep and Lincoln will be without Shackell and Andrade as they both got sent off today.

He has got them playing really well if today is anything to go by. He may be slightly eccentric with some of his funnier comments, but he has had a great career and good luck to him in his managerial one.

On today's showing they looked better than Notts County and a few others above them.

With Town being so disappointing on Saturday its certainly a game to draw a line under and move on and go again on Saturday.

I like to have a bash at seeing how many of the games I can predict in our league and managed 4/12 this Saturday

I thought we would win or at least draw - WRONG

I expected Exeter to beat Morecambe - WRONG

I had Mansfield down to beat Yeovil - WRONG

In form Carlisle had to beat Northampton - WRONG

Unfortunately for Town a decent weekend for 7 out of  the 9 teams below us
