Not only that, people keep missing the bloody umlaut off the O (although it's been put in the thread title now).

What does that do for the pronunciation then?

Is his surname pronounce Errman then, though I can't say I've ever seen an umlaut in Hull.

Yeah, they're all Swedes in Hull. Or turnips.

Google translate pronounces it Errman as you suggest. O-man without the umlaut. Which is a shame because we could otherwise recycle the Omar Bogle song you came up with.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Funny how all of a sudden we seem to have a glut of available centre halves. Davis will be available with presumably at least one of Collins and Famewo fit again too - and now of course Öhman. Whitmore back from suspension next week too.

I don't think Davis will be available on Saturday.

The concussion protocol states they cannot do anything at all for 14 days, but then after that there are a few stages to go through before being able to participate in full contact stuff. Effectively it's 19 days before the player can play in a match again.

Regards the song .....

his name does lend itself to a reworking of the Omar Bogle / Blur  song....probably our best modern song.

Didn’t realise that - frustrating if so as Saturday will be the 18th day.

Either way, I can’t see Öhman starting just yet (though I imagine he may get a place on the bench). It’s possible we may see Ring though in the event Hendrie has to fill in at centre half. Looking forward to seeing him play; hopefully it works out better than our last Scandinavian left back.

According to FA info, Whitmore will be available to play this Saturday as it appears he was only given a one match ban.

Without the umlaut it would be spelt Oehman. The ö or oe is pronounced err. Certainly the case in German whether that rubs off on to Swedish I dinnar
