So this month basically mirrors the first month of the season regarding league fixtures , , ,

We started with a

1-4 defeat at home to FGR
0-2 win away at Macc
1-1 at home to Lincoln
1-1 away at MK

So 5 points from 12 and scored 5 and conceded 6

Followed by a quite atrocious and a month to forget in September

6 defeats, , ,  conceded 12 (twice as many as August) and only managed the 1 goal , , ,

But since then plenty of improvement (apart them three away games in a row  ) and a much more settled and consistent starting 11, , , ,

Which brings me on to this month, , ,

Macc (H)
Lincoln (A)
FGR (A)
MK (H)

What are our realistic hopes and outcomes come 5pm on the 26th of Jan??

I reckon 7 points would be pretty good starting with a home win against Macclesfield.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Last 2 weeks have been tough, so i think it depends on getting players rested, getting some injured players back, and hopefully some signings that hit the ground running. I'd be well happy with 7 points.

Speaking of signings, i was just in the ticket office and the guy who does the interviews was having a discussion with someone about setting up an interview. Could be anything i suppose, but hopefully it's a new player.

If we could win the home games and one of the two away games that would be good stuff. Lincoln away being a Derby game all logic and form tends to fly out the window so they might scrape a draw against us again 10 points from 12.

6 points would be ok but if we get any more, then the season could just get very interesting as i believe from February to the season end fixtures look favourable if we continue our good form.  Add to that some useful additions in this Window and who knows?

I honestly think we'll hit the ground running against Macclesfield.  I can't for a second imagine that the dressing room will let the heartache of Saturday pull them down, in fact I think it'll spur them on.

7/2 with Bet365 on over 0.5 goals in the first ten minutes . Trying to find a market for team goals in the first ten.

7 or 8 points against those teams would be a good return, and I'd like to give Macclesfield a good thrashing to give us a positive goal difference.

Thought I would revisit this thread, , , , so we ended with just the 3 points from Jan, , , , , after a pointless September this was our second worst month of the season so far

With that in mind we are still 10 points from the top 7 but also 10 points from the drop zone , , , , so plenty to play for going into the last 16 games, , , , , and looking at Feb we have a much more favorable set of games, , , teams around and below us , , , always exciting - never boring!

Think your comma button is broken on your keyboard mate.

Take each game as it comes, be prepared for more defeats, and be happy with a mid-table finish, ready to build on in the summer ,,,,

More than happy with a mid table finish!

Jolley feels like a 'streaky' manager, the last 6 months certainly back that up

Lets hope Saturdays win is the start of a good streak!

I’d say our streakyness probably comes from the young team we’re building plus injuries, but the exciting part is that they don’t seem to let their heads drop on a bad run and can turn it around, and that they can already hold on for good results under tough circumstances, keep this core group of players and youve got the base of a promotion side
