Definitely our best eleven. We're looking settled of late and it's paying dividends. Come on Town!

Our bench looks strong with good options for MJ.

It's always a positive sign when the starting eleven becomes predictable. Continuity is a great indicator

Notts County just lost so no matter what happens today we will still be at least 6 points above the relegation places.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

I'm just getting a black box on both the video and the live commentary

We were pressing well with the midfield close to Thomas but the 30 yard gap between midfield and the defence is our achilles heel. Far too much space for them to turn and face our goal. And it's cost us, Vernam gets beat, which happens, and then they've got time to look up and shoot and yet again defenders diving in and blocking rather than getting tight. This space needs shortening for sure. We just gravitate backwards to the edge of our box all the time..

well sounded like we have had two good chances and not taken them and they have been dangerous especially on the right...that goal clip they had 3 v 2 which led to Vernam chasing the ball which gave the lad the opportunity to knock it past him before striking it.

Too many crosses coming in by the sounds of it so the shape/formation we have is being picked off.

someone needs to give Broom a good kick in the second half, make him think twice about charging forward, that or we just mark him

Agree, up to the goal we looked the better team without really threatening their goal.

Now we are looking poor and they look the more likely to get another.

Hope MJ sorts them out.

Watching on ifollow in holland, think jolley will be frustrated with some of the players at times there. Kept giving it away at throw ins over and over throwing to no one, lots of moments where cheltenham players werent closed down fast enough. Shame coz weve played some really nice football at times.

Just need to stick closer to a couple of their players who are causing trouble, and stop doing little things that are letting them get into the game because we’d be absolutely dominating otherwise

I hope at half-time whoever is marking Broom is getting a bit of stick from Jolley.

Hope Jolley impresses on any January striker target that it's not like we aren't making the chances to score.

Missed loads of chances in the second half to put ourselves up 2-1, then shoot ourselves in the face by giving away a moronic injury time penalty. flipping great.

No idea what he's on about, was a blatant foul inside the box. I'd be incredulous if it wasn't given against us. We had half a shout for a penalty for a push on Cook earlier in the half, but it was nowhere near as clear cut as the one we just gave away.

All that right wing back did with the vacant space was cross the ball in. It's up to the defenders to not stupidly foul the opposition forwards when defending crosses.

'I walked in the dressing room. The window was open and I thought that a sea fret had got in. Then I saw smoke billowing from a pipe in the corner of the room...it was my centre-forward. He looked seven stone wet through. He went on to score thirty-odd goals that season.' Lawrie McMenemy on encountering the legend that was Matt Tees.

Don’t know what Jolley was doing with that substitution there, 5 minutes to go away at 1-1 and he takes of pringle whos marking broome. Just unnecessarily caused us change and trouble and not even for someone who wouldve change the game in some meaningful way like holding it up more or being more defensively sound

Quoted from Hagrid

The space we’d not given him all 2nd half and he’d done intercourse all. Gave him one oppurtunity after giving him all the space in the world and it cost us. I blame Jolley completely. He did it at crewe and its done it here

If you think Davis hacking Jones down in the box is Jolley's fault you need to give your head a wobble. You can't blame Jolley for a player giving a penalty away, the same way you can't blame Jolley for Thomas and Pringle both missing fantastic chances to put us 2-1 ahead before that happened.

Yeovil lose after letting in 2 injury time goals. Morecambe concede 2 late goals to drop 2 points and we were overdue a late sickener so not as bad as it could have been.

Fukingbolox!

Waste of three points right there. We've completely bossed the second half, played decent football and just chucked away the chance to climb the table.

Well, MJ ballsed up taking Pringle off, but in all fairness we should have buried Cheltenham second half.... disappointming result but we cannot fault the effort of the team, not going to kick the dig on this result, we knew it would be a season of ups n downs...could be worse, could be a notts county supporter...

Then who do we blame, Fenty for the player budget ?

Cheltenham only winners in bottom 10.  This reduces any damage after our loss.

Yeovil were winning until 92nd minute at home - then decided to lose.  (They would have gone above us).

Parslow moment....Rose on to "shore" up presumably and opens the game for their dangerman to come back in....regardless of Hendries actions if the supply line wasnt there the ball wouldnt have come in.

Sounded like the first half formation and tinkering didnt allow us to settle, sounded much better second half so such a p1sser to drop all points when sounding the better side.

Hi Jonny! I see that’s your first post since Nov 7th, when we lost 2-1 to Mansfield, which was coincidentally our last defeat! Where have you been the last few games?

I hate losing to Cheltenham, especially so in those circumstances. Should have put the game to bed earlier, but there is a reason both sides are near the bottom, and it could have gone either way.

Not done any damage to our league placing, which is about the only positive i can take from losing to those feckers.

I thought just the same. Also unsure how a defeat following 7 points from 9 and two FA Cup wins equates to one step forward and two back.

Gutting, but the penalty was on the other side of the pitch to their right wing back so not sure how the sub can be blamed.

Jolley just been on RH so here's a brief summary of his interview

Frustrated as he felt we were the better team

We created chances & should have scored more

He was non-committal on their pen.... wouldn't discuss with JT

Said our aim was to invite them on so we could counter attack

Should have capitalised on our good start

Broom goal a scenario we're familiar with?

Defended well most of the game

Pleased with Thomas

Felt at 1-1 we could get at least a draw

Thought Pringle was likely to score with the chance he had

Wants to have a look at the Cook foul and no penalty

Got to play keep playing well but need to take something from the game

Onwards & upwards then

Nope. Too upset with the result today Mr Swing

What you’re saying about the substitution and the subsequent time on the ball is probably spot on Hagrid, I guess we’ll never know if Pringle would’ve stopped the ball coming in had he still been on the pitch. But to solely blame MJ for the defeat is an angry overreaction in my opinion. There’s lots of reasons we didn’t win today, it was one of those games, either side could’ve stolen it at the death.

"Falls to Arnold... Arnold! That's it! Thats it! He's sealed it! Grimsby Town are back in the football league!!! Just a minute to go and Nathan Arnold makes it 3-1! Look at the scenes behind the goal! Look at the relief! The agony is finally over!!!"

Possibly so mate, just frustrated as we completely dominated that second period, should have won and we’ve got nothing

Looking for Swin.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
