No reason to disbelieve that Whittle says about it and I certainly never thought he was in any way a dirty player. Still, no complaints as Shearer 'accidentally' caught enough defenders to be due a couple of accidental whacks himself. My opinion of him went right down after the game as he went on whinging about it despite actually scoring the winning goal.
