Unchanged. A Rose, Pringle and Russell also on the bench.

Exeter fielding the man who signed John Thorrington.

I'm surprised he's not used the phrase 'fifth tackle' yet.

We've started very well with some attractive football on that left wing. Hendrie looks sharp despite a couple of misplaced passes. At least he's working the ball!

This is fookin great UTM 👍🏻

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Exeter very lucky to still have 11 men on the pitch. Clifton very honest reaction to a horrible tackle.

Happy with a point against 2nd in the table Exeter, great save from JM on the penalty and if we had a striker to replace Hopper who knows.

Gwilym Lloyd. Usually commentates on the egg chasing.

His commentary style doesn't particularly bother me, but why can't he prounce McKeown's name properly. Basic research for a commentator, surely?

So where is JT, Matt Dean and any other GTFC reporter? Isn’t there a new guy in charge at RH? Not looking good for inclusivity is it?

A really poor broadcasting effort from RH today as far as GTFC concerned. Pre match, match and post match with GL of a very low grade.

Just to rub it in, I listened to Radio Sheffield commentary of Shef Utd v Derby as I drove into the M180 sunset. Excellent description of Match action and analysis as the game progressed. Co-commentator was SU legend Keith Edwards who says it as he sees it and praised Derby's players and gameplan. Good listen for a neutral.

On that note, I felt that Crofty's summary quite accomplished today and rescued RH laurels for what they are worth.

Once again between 5 and 6pm on a Saturday RH's (the H standing or Hull) was pathetic! McCall and Madkins would still be talking now if Mike White and Dave Burns had their way.

I thought Crofty's summary was "glass half empty" and Lloyd like JT just regurgitates the obvious, I detest Burns but at least he offers some challenge.

Burnsy has (again) just won a prestigious local radio award and is the only journalist I've heard who really gets his teeth into issues, football or otherwise.

I don't mind any of the regular summarisers on Town games - you know what you're going to get from any of Crofty, AB, Lloyd Griffith or Nigel Lowther but sending Gwilym Lloyd to BP - please don't bother!

He's actually a half decent broadcaster who asks probing questions, my issue is when The Targers win the way he carps on you'd think they where Man City in disguise.

I've never times it but the Targers and Scunts managers definitely appear to get move time in their interviews after the games on Saturday.

Credit to Crofty for yesterdays co-commentary, must be very difficult to add your views when the commentator talks in such a stuttery, drawn out, stumbling way that offers no intentional 'jump in now' pauses or gaps intended for a secondary opinion.
The game itself, particularly 2nd half sounded very good on the radio, but the coverage made it hard work.

I think the other 2 managers just talk more so each question takes 2 or 3 mins whereas Jolly keeps things short to the point and kills qs he does not want to answer in a short sharp sentence. I would like to know when Hullberside are going to employ an interpreter for McCall.

For all the time Adkins gets on the radio, what does he actually say?

Yesterday he sounded completely devoid of any ideas defending his reasons for not playing Bowen from the start. Appreciate there are mitigating circumstances and a lacklustre budget but time for a change in manager at Hull methinks.
