Would love a nice derby but let’s be honest, we’ll probably end up with something awful like Southend away which we lose after a replay meaning the whole thing was pointless and just served to knacker the players!

Would love to reach the 3rd round though.

36 grand in prize money if we win. The prize money has doubled this year, it was only 18 grand last year. Every round is double the prize money I believe.

Great report by Gregor Robertson on the Dunston - Gateshead game in The Times this morning in the “Proper FA Cup” as he calls it in his by-line. More spectators (2500) than some of the L2 games on Saturday.

Looking at our fixtures as it stands we could do with a home or lucrative away draw as we’ll be going 3 weeks without a home game as it stands. Not ideal for financial reasons.  Obviously this doesn’t matter too much if we win in the cup but we’re not exactly brilliant at cup ties are we?
