I have just read the list of non combatants. Unbeliveable, Collins did he come back too early? Cardwell will he ever play? fox seems permanently injured., likewise Cook. How does Macca allow a bite to be infected to such an extent he cannot play ? All this despite a whole team of back room staff including fitness specialists.

I got bit once while at training, I woke up the next day I had a third calf muscle you could fry an egg on and I could hardly walk on it, it easily happens.

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

I once said Gazza's IQ was less than his shirt number and he asked me: What's an IQ? - George Best

I know someone who ended up in hospital for 4 days and could have died from sepsis from an infected insect bite.  It happens.

The comment regards Macca was that playing was a risk not worth taking and I'm sure he's fit enough for league action.

We do seem to have a lot of muscle injuries and the question has to be asked, why?

I would take most of the injury list as a smoke screen as to why MJ fielded the team he did on Tuesday...Think even he's now sussed out it's not worth putting out players who, if injured, would unsettle what's been  pretty much the starting 11 he envisages as his "best".and certainly not in the chuckatwat trophy....

I had a recent horsefly bite that became infected, swolen etc and was very very painful. Needed antibiotics.

We do seem to have a very long list though and it is a concern if taken at face value. Fox, Cook and Cardwell do seem 'injury prone'.

Apparently it was Tom Pope who bit Macca.

I was worried about bites when Louis Soares was in the team a few years back.

It's amazing how many people connected with this board seem to have had infected insect bites. My lad did about 4 years ago. Entailed a stay in hospital with an antibiotic drip and he's still got the scar where the infected tissue was.
