Less than 4000 with a ticket offer on.

And 3000 season ticket holders !!

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

At every opportunity

Ever thought stability and patience may be a better way

Most of us wanted a fresh manager with new ideas but as soon as it goes mammaries up we're picking a new one before the current one has gone.

It's a throw away society for sure

Get real brothers and sisters, who's gonna want to come FFFS

The solution is simple stop feeding the vultures. What you don't seem to get is people are fed up to the back teeth following Fenty's stewardship, somethings not right and it's either the budget or Jolley has lost the dressing room. Both have to go before it's too late.

Supporting the Mighty Mariners for over 30 years, home town club is were the heart and soul is and it's great to be a part of it.

Jesus’ disciple Peter, picked up a fish to get the tribute money from it, Jesus left his thumb print on the fish, bless'ed is the Haddock.

Agree 100% with Bigdog if the senior pros are not performing any advise they give to others will be ridiculed and all respect is gone.

They have to walk the walk it happens in every other job great post mate.

There is also deafening silence from our captain Walsh. Yes we knew he was getting on a bit but great respect from Preston and looked the part in the early games. Now however he does no press interviews and is almost anonymous on the pitch when we desperately need some leadership. Puzzling. The seniors are certainly letting the side down. I exempt Wes Thomas from this as even in the shambles on Sat he chased every lost cause and was unlucky not to score with a great piece skill when he hit the woodwork. He kept asking for the ball in the channels or to his feet, just did not happen, he had every right to be pee'd off.

Patience?

Been waiting since 2006 for a side capable of competing in League 2. Fans are getting nervous about a return to non league, which happened last time we failed to act. It nearly happened again last season when we failed to act. I'm all for giving Jolley some more time, but at some point, you have to make a decision before it's too late. That point hasn't been reached yet by me, but it's getting close.

Probably not down to Jolley then really is it?

Players were not allowed to talk to the press after yesterday but, I agree, it's time to hear what the skipper thinks. Mind you, it would be someone with a very vivid imagination who could put a positive spin on this situation.

How some peoples minds have suddenly changed. A good number of you are calling MJ and calling for his head, yet months ago you were saying what a great appointment. Then there are the signings, Welsh,Hess, Davies,Whitmore etc, and on the day they were signed you were all saying what great signings, cant wait for the season to start.
So what has happened. Welshy was outstanding at Preston, a fans hero, and sorry to see him go. Paul Hess' had great reports from his club too, and it looked like it was all falling in place. My feelings are that either the players aren't playing in their best positions, the system isn't working, or the players don't want to play for the manager, and I doubt it is the latter.
MJ hasn't got the best CV in the world, but our thoughts come the end of last season was, 'Imagine what he could do if he signed his own players'.  Well he has, and it aint working. The point im getting at,is;  Why aren't the players responding, why do they look tired and lifeless, why no confidence, what do they do in training, what do the coaches do to raise the moral, all this needs to be answered, every game, apart from Lincoln, has shown a lack of fight.
MJ is it seems,a very nice guy, thoughtful, understanding, etc, but all this doesn't make a manager. Ten games in, 2nd from bottom,no home win, the list continues. It boils down to the sack. Ok, so we sack him, what next, we try someone else, and then someone else. I for one like many others was calling for his head at the game yesterday, it was dire, as like the other games, but after sleeping on it, would it be a travesty to let him go,i am 50/50 at the moment. So, MJ, don't be a Mr nice guy any more. Shake the fkers up, its your job on the line, not theirs.

The point for me is that some wanted to see Slade struggle but no-one, not even Ipswin (I suspect), wanted to see this. The silence from some quarters is deafening - what next indeed.

Personally I don't want to hear from the players. It'll be a load of football ball bags anyway - stuff we've heard time and again, and then he'd just be criticised for trotting out some cliches about a siege mentality or working harder on the training ground.

Keep your words. Let's see some action.

Exactly.  I've never understood this fascination with wanting to read/hear the same mundane crap from players before and after every game.

In all honesty I'm not really that arsed with what the manager says before the game, it's the same stuff every week whoever the manager is.  The post-match interviews are slightly better but very few managers deviate from the 'we'll carry on working hard, doing stuff in training' rhetoric.

I suppose you can argue that interviews = free publicity but I'm not aware that anyone in the history of GTFC has decided to go to a game because they read an interview with the left-back where he read from a script and gave lots of generic quotes.
