It's one of those daft surveys that depend on the age group of the audience; and the medium in which it's conducted. Obviously the number of people who can remember the 39 Cup semi is very small. Not many 90 year olds on Twitter.
In 20 years, our crowning glory will be the 2016 National League Play Off Final. Especially if the survey is done on.....well whatever tech thing will be in then.
And the 98 double were two moments.

Burnett at Wembley was pure excitement. We had never experienced anything like that before. It was a one-off and you can never recreate the first time magic of winning at Wembley, especially in such circumstances.
A few weeks later against Northampton felt like a bit of an anti-climax in comparison, more pressure and a less enjoyable game. I would go as far as saying the play-off win over Fulham was far more of a moment.
Jevons against Liverpool was epic, just because of how it happened. Same with JPKK against Spurs a few years later, that giant-killing feeling is something else. Spurs game was a real giant-killing whereas against Liverpool we were only a league below them at the time (albeit they were, in terms of competitions, the best cup side in Europe at that moment).
But for me it'll have to be something to beat the sheer elation and relief of the play-off win against FGR. The stadium was half empty, they had barely sold a block. In terms of what it actually meant it was pathetic really, a win would mean we play again a level that a lot of people still found embarrassing. But after all those so nears, those missed opportunities and 12 months on from that sheer heartbreak against Bristol Rovers, with many of those same players who we adored, it was just unbelievable. Even now, I get goosebumps thinking about it.

Singing what a waste of money as Keegans team captained by Chris Coleman I think trudged off and Keegan saying in his interview we where the best footballing side he had seen for a long while
Then the first season in championship seeing Mcdermott having most quality forward and wingers from big teams like Man C Sunderland Wolves etc in his pocket

I was 33 and first visit to Wembley like you Pete ... I’ve been lots of times since then watching England , cup finals & town obviously BUT nothing as come close to that feeling for me when that golden goal went in , never felt emotion like it at a football match ( fgr would be my second choice ) |

My mate and I went into the Kop. It was a great atmosphere. The Liverpool fans were very friendly probably because there team were winning. Walking back to the coach across Stanley Park there were loads of Everton fans waiting for us. Quite a few of us got a good hiding that day |

I was locked out that day Les. The cozzers marched about 200 of us around the stands and told us to go in the Kemlyn Road end. In we steamed, five minutes after kick-off, black and white scarves ablazing…….to be met with about 22,000 scousers staring and wondering what the hell was going on. There were loads of other Town in there too. We were challenged to fight immediately, ha ha. Great days

Mike Brolly vs Everton for me. My first BIG game memory and that night got me hooked. That was one of my first great memories too, Moosey. Was in Harrington Street corner getting drenched.
Also, Jevons at Anfield, still have the scars on my shins from jumping up and scrapping the skin off on the plastic chair in front - such was the elation, I never noticed until I got on the train home!
FGR win at Wembley, cried like a baby when the third goal went in.
But, the away 0-0 in the play=off against Fulham was a great day - Buckley out-smarting the future England manager, using the wooden boarding at the back as a drum, and the rather lubricated chap at the front, doing a fantastic job of orchestrating the Town fans. I don't know who you were Sir but I salute you!
