"Grimsby Town fans have voted the Wembley double under Alan Buckley in 1998 as their favourite moment in the club’s 140-year history."

I went to the Wembley Auto Windscreens Shield final but unfortunately couldn't make the play-off final because we already had prior arrangements that day.... ironically a few miles from Wembley.

It's one of those daft surveys that depend on the age group of the audience; and the medium in which it's conducted. Obviously the number of people who can remember the 39 Cup semi is very small. Not many 90 year olds on Twitter.

In 20 years, our crowning glory will be the 2016 National League Play Off Final. Especially if the survey is done on.....well whatever tech thing will be in then.

And the 98 double were two moments.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Agreed......my most favourite moment was when we hammered Sheff Utd 4-0 at BP to win the third division title.

That's not really A moment is it.

For me there's quite a few that I can't really decide between.

Wayne Burnett's winner v Bournemouth
Paul Wilkinson's header at Goodison
Phil Jevons last minute extra time screamer at Anfield
Jim Dobbins last minute "keep it in the corner Jim" at St James'
and a not such obvious one
Kevin Jobling's late winner at Reading in the FA Cup replay.

Gilbo's late (winning) freekick at Luton in 1994. I think for a second or two I wanted a sex change.

And what do you think that last 24 years would have been like being a bloke?
