I felt Marcus was very unfairly treated by the gtfc board.
He attracted some good young players, got some good results results and bad aswell.
He was in charge when we beat Hartlepool away when we where epic i thought he could be great.

He was a nutcase and a bad appointment by our inglorious board and he has no relevance to the current situation.

He's the best manager we have had since PH

Bignot 33% win ratio
Slade 25% win ratio
Jolley 30% win ratio

Slade won at Cheltenham something Hurst never did, winning at Hartlepool the year they where relegated isn't exactly top of the CV materiel.

Bignot was all about Bignot, MJ is about the club.

I never thought I would say it but I would have Hurst back, not a big fan of the bloke and his deputy but I'd have him back when he gets sacked by Ipswich and is looking for a job.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

So would Shrewsbury!

Careful what you wish for.

Give me strength. Hurst is a pragmatic winner of football matches who has reached his ceiling, Jolley is an intelligent man who is out of his comfort zone.

Is the right answer.

And for the record, “epic” at Hartlepool is a gross exaggeration - a poor team beat an even poorer team that day.

A team that had Henderson playing brilliantly 2nd half catching everything they put in our box. It was a backs to the wall performance, entertaining win we deserved, but they were relegation material so nothing to be proud of
