Saltergate has to be the worst ground we ever played a league game at

Bet it was even better from the pylons 😆

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

I remember that game, Dale Banton scored a cracker I think, Richard O Kelly broke his leg. 1989 I believe.

I was a scrawny teenager at the time and there was a load of older Town nutters stood at the front climbing the fence, didn't see much of the game but what an atmosphere even though it was open. I think Kelly scored as well as breaking his leg in that game, and as for Banton, I can't remember him, I think that goal was his only goal for us as he only played less than a handful of games.

Also some of the standing in that cage was below ground level if I remember rightly.

Supporting the Mighty Mariners for over 30 years, home town club is were the heart and soul is and it's great to be a part of it.

Jesus’ disciple Peter, picked up a fish to get the tribute money from it, Jesus left his thumb print on the fish, bless'ed is the Haddock.
