Don't know if it's been mentioned elsewhere but looks like RHJ will be out for a while, as they don't quite seem to know exactly what the problem is so he's going for a scan next week

Very unlucky. Must be a real setback to MJ as bother RHJ and Whitehouse must have figured hugely in his setup plans.

I wonder why the scan would be next week. Surely we can’t be replying on the nhs as a professional sports club? That is nothing against the nhs by the way who are brilliant but surely we have an insurance or private policy as a club to get him in straight away? When whitehouse had his injury then it takes a while for that type to settle and swelling to reduce but as RHJ has been out for a while then surely this is not the case.

I am no medical expert but does this seem strange?

Even if you have private insurance, you don't tend to get an appointment the same day. Obviously different for the big boys and their multi-million pound player, but it seems quite reasonable for it to take a few days or a week to schedule a scan if they've only recently decided that he needs one.

Back when I had health insurance some years ago, I saw a specialist who called for an MRI scan on a knee problem. I had to wait a week or two to have it.

Don't forget he would have had at least 7 days of Mooro telling him to man up and get on with it before we involved other specialists

A cracked bone in the arm is easy to diagnose with a simple x-ray which is easy to come by. Fall awkwardly onto your arm, make your way to A&E and you can get one within a few hours yourself. MRI or CT scans are less readily available.
