If you want equality then practice equality,  dont cherry pick .

It's getting a bit much, the last few months the media have really gone for it. Pushing womens football at every opportunity and somehow expecting the public to take a female footballer seriously when she has 100 caps for England commentating on Premier league games. I feel for the poor blokes who have lost their jobs because they aren't female.

In the case of Alex Scott I think she's been a breath of fresh air. The standard of punditry (and commentary) on terrestrial TV has gone down hill in the last 10 years. She clearly does her research and puts to shame some of the old boys network who just turn up and blag their way through.

Maybe so - but, be realistic, she hasn't exactly got the perfect face for radio, has she?

If there’s a bird trying to talk football on tv then the tv goes off simple, there was one on itv I think and she spoilt a good World Cup. why do they always have to interfere in men’s sport? there’s even one on the boxing now and she’s absolute useless only there because of the diversity bollox oh she has a pair of mammaries give her the job.

She’s probably right, look at the state of our own boardroom - a load of dusty old blokes including a non-chairman who said they’d installed a sink in the changing rooms for women refs.

How many male pundits can you actually call competent though? Neville and Carragher maybe? At a stretch Jermaine Jenas? I must admit, Rachel Brown is shocking on BT Sport but we’ve barely even had a taste of female punditry. It’s the usual gammon turning up with their opinions about it though.

I didn't realise football or boxing was exclusively a man's sport? I assume then that you only want women reporting on women's football and boxing?
