Saw the FGR game but not the last two. Can anyone who’s been explain why Davis is playing right back ahead of RHJ.

This isn’t a dig at Davis. It’s just I thought he’d played all his career as a centre back so confused as to why he’s being chosen ahead of RHJ who seems more than competent and played well during pre season from all accounts.

He’s injured, I presume? Don’t think he’s been in the squad as he?

Davis has played as a right back before, so it's not alien to him. No idea why he is being chosen ahead of RHJ, but then that's the managements call, so they will no doubt have their reasons.

Thought I’d seen his name on the bench following FGR but could be wrong.

Didn’t realise Davis had experience at RB. Does he look comfortable there? Didn’t strike me as a natural RB when playing in a 3 against FGR. Did notice he got forward a bit in the highlights against Macc.

RHJ is injured has been for a few weeks now, The manager did mention it in the pre match interview on Monday

We have 3 or 4 injuries at the moment which highlights how thin the squad is at present

Reece has been carrying a knock for a while... Could explain his mistake against Forest Green which is out of character.

He was named as a sub be Macclesfield but I think that was just to make up numbers as he didn't participate in any of the warm up's and wasn't names in the squad last night.

Once he's back fully fit I'd expect him to challenge Davis for that RB slot. As others have said Davis has played right back before and I hough vs Macclesfield he was very good, certainly didn't look out of place and he performed admirably last night against a very good side.

Davis hasn’t got the pace to play full-back, not his fault, just another symptom of the threadbare squad.

We will be signing another right back before the window closes and it will be a shock to some. I think the person in question will be a decent addition.

I cannot believe we let Mills go, huge mistake for me.

I was certainly surprised, and disappointed, by Mills’ departure. I know he hadn’t been firing on all cylinders at the back end of last season but I thought he’d look good since arriving and had the potential to improve.

Questionable decision considering he hasn’t been replaced but maybe something wasn’t right.
