I understand your sentiment and loyalty Mighty, I really do, but how many disillusioned fans do you want to say urine off to? There's plenty that have urined off over the years and there's plenty more on the verge of urining off. Will you be happy if you're one of 2k left in a few years time? Will it give you some sort of self satisfaction that you were loyal (mental) enough to stick out year upon year of dross? By telling fans to urine off, you're acting like the club who make no apologies for their actions. I've supported the club a lot longer than you and I have to agree with the poster that you told to urine off. I have very little pride left in supporting the club, I've got a lot of love left, but very little pride. I hate what we've become or remained over the past twenty years. So tell me to urine off if you want to. Fooking ridiculous telling loyal fans who post on here to urine off for opening up and telling everyone their heartfelt feelings especially if they're feeling negative about things. Maybe we should start addressing the "why" a bit more rather than "if you don't like it, don't come" sort of attitude, because when we do, we might then start to get to a place where no one wants to urine off..

Can’t agree with you on this one fella. Realist is clearly a WUM.  To say you hate supporting GTFC is different to being critical.
The fact is that I’ve ( like many others) fallen out of love with the club.  And certainly not as proud as I was.  But the day I gob off about hating supporting them, anyone has the right to tell me to p1ss off as well. (Although even with JF at the helm I can never envisage that happening).

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

I think you've said pretty much a similar sentiment to Realist, but in a much more eloquent way. Agreed, his posting style is very combative to say the least and will wind people up, but if you scan through his posting history, most of the content he posts is what we believe privately..

Does anyone love supporting GTFC at the minute? I know how I felt switching off my i-Follow at 4-50 a week last Saturday afternoon and after seeing us getting dumped out a cup at the first hurdle without a whimper yet again..

But I'll pick myself up and hope for better on Saturday and fingers crossed some game changing loan signings..

Catch 22 bigdog, yeah we could all boycott and stand firm until the current incumbents on the board "do one" but on the same understanding you end up with a commodity that no one with half a business mind would go near with a barge pole, so...do we keep going, pay our money and watch the club we adore and for once let this manager do his job, to the best of his abilities to turn this dinosaur of a club round and back into the once great, community club it was.....or do we stamp our fit, chuck our toys out the pram and end up with no club at all..... I for one do not believe that any show of discontent towards this board has ever bourne any fruits, so shout as you may, it's your throat that needs the lozenges and it will never be the boards, they're too busy licking the cream off the pie....it ain't going to change....and in one philosophical statement... will it change?no...so, accept or let go....

5800 Home fan`s in League Two is still a force to be reckoned with. The person who finally sees the benefit in this kind of steadfast support could very easily very quickly turn things around.Lincoln are the most obvious role model for change having quadrupled home gates in a short space of time and maintained them the following Season.Nobody at GTFC should be embarrassed by taking on board new idea`s but my goodness is it hard work getting anybody to try anything new at this Club. There are a few employees who give above and beyond and do a fabulous job BUT there are others and too many others who have done the same thing for well over 20 year`s and sit back with a cigar on enjoying the ride.I would love to see GTFC employ a proper Modern Day Office Manager and sort out the hangers on that would be a bloody good start.

I completely see where you're coming from mate.

I don't expect everyone to agree with every decision and we live in a democracysnd live within free speech. What I don't understand is how people can seemingly stop supporting their club. We've been through some excrement in the last decade but I've never even considered not supporting Town.

A successful club is one of harmony between management, and directors and fans.

This is how I see it.

We're 3 games into a long, long season. We've lost to a team that have spent shed loads and will be up there, with 2 mistakes you cannot legislate for and probably won't happen again for a while all being well.

We've beaten a well organised side that's new to the division, playing very well and in reality should have gone in 3 or 4 to the good at half time.

We've then lost to a very good team from the league above who kept the ball well, attacked at pace and were more clinical. That being said, we hit the woodwork, had an effort cleared off rhe line and wasted a couple of good opportunities. We certainly didn't get destroyed or embarrassed.

Jolley has said he will need at least a couple of windows to get the squad right and we are a work in progress. Realistically what are we expecting this year?

For me a good year will be consolidating out league status, seeing the team develop an identity and style of play and evolve into a hardworking, difficult to beat and exciting team.

3 games in and I think we're par for the course but what we need is everyone getting behind the player and management and not bitching at every chanvd and threatening to stop coming.

I'm afraid, and I'm not including you in this Big dog but some are just desperate to have something to whinge and moan about and will never, ever ever be content with what's on offer.

End the end of the day people will do and say as they please but I prefer to see the positives of what's going on and accept there will be bad days, we simply cannot play well, but we score goals and win every single game.

We've got a young, a fresh management team that are trying to evolve the club into a successful one, they will need time and patience to achieve that.

Hopefully they do that. They could also consider getting rid of that silly mascot thing too!
