I have it on good authority that he is set to sign on a permanent deal - all his close mates confirm this!

Would not go there myself too risky, its so much of an advantage to have players that somehow are able to stay injury free through out most of the season, if he signs lets hope he proves me wrong

Good player, though given that he's had two serious injuries (and he's only 21) you do have to question whether or not this would be a wise investment.

Ask Hull City if they wish they'd have taken a gamble on Charlie Austin rather than turning their back because of a serious knee injury....
Vernam is 21 years old,  he'll heal quickly and we could only hope they do not reoccur, to me there is a cracking player inside him and would live to see us sign him, put him on a 1-year contract with the option for another year and if he stats fit we'd certainly not lose money on him...

Is this also like the time you pretended you saw another player in Cleethorpes and he told you he'd signed?

Waste of time, made up stories and guess work in the hope of randomly seeing somebody sign so you can claim you told the truth.

I never stayed anything as fact, I merely passed on what a somewhat questionable source told me...
This however is pretty reliable - from his closest mates at school... Think of it what you will, but I'm reporting what I've been told by what you'd think is a fairly reliable source...

Can't really write off a player at the beginning of his career because he's had a few injuries, can you? Seems pretty harsh to me.

Worth the risk for his quality and (young) age.  Goal-scorers are worth a bigger risk for their potential return.  Nothing ventured nothing gained.  Jolley is skilled in assessing risk v return.

Leicester took a risk with Vardy who was around 30.  The step-up in class was massive but the gamble paid off.
