Saunders and Battersby did not play well though, hence the 3 goals. Flanagan held the midfield well imo. Stand out players for me were Wright, Buckley and Pollock. Burrell looked dangerous when he came on. Referee let a lot of poor challenges go, especially on Wright. The other Trialist didn’t play. Barton up next for the Youth team and any trialists on Monday.

I'm not saying anything beyond the bare observation of two defeats of a professional football league club to a part time non league neighbour. I thought it was interesting.
