I agree Modric is a great player, as is Rakitic next to him. But I really do think they are weaker than us everywhere else. Plus Dejan Lovren goes to bits against Harry Kane, a bit like Vidic vs Torres used to.

Their midfield is a notch above ours. Modric, Rakitic and Perisic are all very good players with vast experience. Mandjukic is also a very good striker. I think both sides are better in forward areas than they are in defence and it will be down to who takes their chances on the night. I think it will be an open game with both sides looking to attack and could go either way. Our more open style will suit Croatia and i don't think they will struggle as much as they did against Russia. We will try and outplay them, and that is where we may come unstuck. We will have more speed and energy though, so it's going to be a fascinating game. I'm hoping for 2-1 England.

Not as dangerous as he once was, 10 goals in 41 apps last season in a strong Juve side, similar record in the 2 seasons before that suggest that he's not as prolific as he was, his international record has even slowed somewhat. Not knocking him as a player at all as his career speaks for itself but the signs of an ageing player are clearly there.

This is what i think gives us an advantage. A lot of their players are getting on a bit now and i think we can take advantage of that. They have had two games go to extra time and Russia got at them after the 90 minute mark. Had Russia held their nerve, we would be playing them instead.
