Starting to think he played a game of russian roulette and shot himself clean in the foot!!....as the club stated " the offer was removed"...Shame because he's known for being a really nice, hard working lad and I'm sure he'd have dome a job for us in the coming season, but, time waits for no man, so it's time for us to move on and hope this newly rebuilt squad gets us shouting from the rafters at BP....

Dont think he has 'shot himself in the foot' at all. ( i will resist the joke that he wouldnt have hit the target) He wanted a more local move and has got it. Good luck to the lad

This.

He's settled in the North-West and has probably realised that at his age he isn't suddenly going to stumble upon that one big contract that sets him up for life.  We definitely wouldn't have been offering that and with Jolley no doubt stipulating that players have to move closer to Grimsby, it was a no-brainer that he wouldn't sign.  

Good luck to the lad. When everyone's else either had their head dropped or up their own backside last season, he still kept going and was for large periods our only bright spark.
